House rules & location information
House rules
for the event rooms in the Spreespeicher
As the tenant of the premises, you are granted the right to use the rented rooms for the duration of the rental period. As the host, please ensure that your guests behave in such a way that the neighbours and we as the landlord have no cause for complaint, i.e:
- All persons must behave in such a way that no one else is harmed, endangered or - more than is unavoidable under the circumstances - hindered or inconvenienced.
- From 10.00 p.m. to 6.00 a.m., noise pollution outside the building must be avoided and the windows and outside doors must be kept closed during this time.
- Bringing food and drinks is prohibited unless otherwise agreed.
- No liability is accepted for the cloakroom.
- If the premises are heavily soiled, there may be an additional charge for cleaning costs.
- Smoking is only permitted outside the event rooms.
- Damaged objects and other damage must be reported immediately.
- In the event of excessive alcohol consumption by guests or the host, the venue operator reserves the right to withdraw the organiser's right to use the premises. The consumption and possession of drugs is strictly prohibited.
- Dogs are permitted in our event rooms under supervision.
- Setting off a fire alarm is prohibited unless there is a reason for doing so. In the event of an unjustified triggering, the perpetrator shall bear all costs (e.g. due to smoking in the toilets or a fog machine).
- The premises must be vacated no later than half an hour after the end of the event. The only exception is if an extension of the event has been agreed.
- If you wish to use the rooms earlier, please discuss this with your contact person, as this is only possible subject to availability and at an extra charge.
If the tenant or his guests violate these regulations, this is an administrative offence and the service manager is authorised to exclude the tenant or his guests from further use of the event rooms by deploying law enforcement officers (police).
Location hints
Decoration:
- Confetti, rose petals, rice and any kind of glitter/powder are not permitted in our rooms or outside for reasons of sustainability and to make cleaning more difficult.
- Burning objects (e.g. sparklers and table fireworks) are only permitted in the outdoor area after consultation and depending on the size.
- It is prohibited to hang up your own decorations (picture frames, decorative plants on the walls, lamps).
- The customer is responsible for organising the disposal of the decoration items after the event.
- The collection must be made by 12:00 noon the next day. Sundays and public holidays on which no event is taking place are excluded.
- Sawing work is only permitted outside after consultation and depending on the scope.
- Foiling of any kind is not permitted.
- We reserve the right to charge additional cleaning costs in the event of non-compliance.
Parcel shipments:
- Consignments can be delivered at the earliest 2 days before the date of the event. Collection must take place no later than 2 days after the event. A longer storage period is unfortunately not possible due to the large number of events. If consignments are stored with us for longer than two days, we will charge a flat rate of € 25.00 net per day. The total volume may not exceed 1 square metre or one EURO pallet.
- If the parcels are not collected after 7 days and we do not receive any further information, we reserve the right to dispose of the parcels for a disposal fee of €100 net.
Payments, price adjustments and video surveillance:
- We endeavour to avoid price adjustments as far as possible. However, we would like to point out that in the event of unforeseeable price increases in energy, goods or labour costs, we do not wish to reduce our quality standards, which is why percentage price adjustments may occur in exceptional cases.
- We expressly point out that the event rooms and areas are also monitored by us via video during an event in order to exercise our domiciliary rights and for the safety of the event, your participants and the rooms or areas, including your equipment in the correspondingly labelled areas. Further information on this can be found in our General Terms and Conditions.
- Depending on the invoice amount, currency and bank company, additional costs may be incurred which will be passed on to you.
Advice for wedding couples:
Outdoor weddings:
- If you have opted for the outdoor wedding package, your ceremony will take place on our riverside promenade directly on the water in front of the Spreespeicher. In case of bad weather, we will move your ceremony to your location. There will be no changes to the location. Only the "altar" situation will be set up in the room.
- For logistical planning purposes, we need to know no later than the day before the wedding ceremony whether you would like to hold the ceremony indoors or outdoors. However, in order to ensure the quality and smooth execution of your wedding ceremony, the Spreespeicher will make the final decision on the wedding option on the day of the event.
- The lakeside promenade is an area that is open to the public and cannot be hired exclusively. For the duration of your ceremony, service staff will be placed on both sides of the ceremony area to inform passers-by about your ceremony and to keep the area clear.
- However, we cannot guarantee 100 % that this will be adhered to. We have no influence on external circumstances such as public events with boats on the Spree.
More:
- Please bear in mind that we only have limited cooling capacity and that the cooling of wedding cakes, for example, is only possible by prior arrangement.
- When booking an external cake service provider outside our portfolio, a plate charge of €2.50 net per person will be incurred.
- Please note the maximum buffet duration of 3 hours. If you wish to leave the buffet for longer, a disclaimer must be signed and additional costs for the kitchen staff must be expected.
